This is my word profile, made out of words and fonts that I like and\or represent me. I chose the placement of the words quite carefully, putting words that go together near each other, and placing some words in strategic places. For example, the word "Music" is where my ear would be, the word "Candles" is near my nose, and the words "dogs" is near my heart. As you may notice, some of the words are not in English, they are in Hebrew as I am from Isreal. However, you may also notice that the words "Israel" or "Israeli" don't appear on the profile, but the word "Russian" appears more than once and in both languages. That is because I am of Russian decent and identify more with my Russian heritage and culture than with Israel's. This brings me to my next point, under Russian there's the word "גויה"- "Goya", which is a slur a Jewish person may use to refer to a non-Jew. I am ethnically Jewish, but, as evidenced by the word "atheist" on the profile, I am not Jewish by religion. All my life in Israel I have been heavily bullied for not keeping Jewish traditions. It is important to me that the word on the profile is in Hebrew, however, as I am only "Goya" by Israeli standards, everywhere else I am Jewish enough to experience anti-semitism.
I put though into the fonts I used, how, and when. I found a font that looks like the Harry Potter font, and funnily enough is called "Parry Hotter", and it worked beautifully for words like "Ravenclaw", which is a Harry Potter reference. As you may notice, I used Comic sans, which is a designer's worst nightmare. This font has a significance to me, as it was a big part of my internet humor when I first started to use social media. I may be very cringy right now, but it was a big part of my life. I only used it for two words- "Depression" and "Memes".
I started out by creating a list of words that I felt described me the best, and then traced a profile picture of myself, and tweaked it a little bit, to then fill up with words.
These are some photos of my process. I ended up adding more words that I didn't have on my list, bot to fill up spaces, and because I somehow forgot important details, like my birth year (1999) which is very special and important to me, and my birthday (April 26th).
